Mannarino knocks out Thompson to advance to quarter-finals

The only Frenchman still in the running for the ATP in Dallas, Mannarino beat the Australian on Thursday.

Adrian Mannarino, 63rd in the world, joins the Chinese Wu Yibing in the quarter-finals of the ATP in Dallas. After having dismissed in the previous round against the American Johnson, the Frenchman won again on Thursday. This time he beat the Australian Jordan Thompson (6/2, 7/6).

Mannarino initially unfolded in the first set before being a little more in difficulty in the second, in particular because of unforced errors. He will face Wu, who performed well against Shapovalov (6/7, 4/6) this Saturday February 11 in the quarter-finals.
