Mano Ganesan, leader of the Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA), has pointed out that the current situation is more of a challenge to the Tamil people than during the war.

He mentioned this while participating in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Kamban Art Gallery held in Kilinochchi yesterday.

Meanwhile, Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda said that there would have been no destruction if the literature praising the heroism of the kings had sung with emphasis on virtue.

Pointing out that the All Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has faced great dangers, the Minister stressed the need to create independent literature in the future as well.
