New Democracy deputy MP Manos Konsolas toured Archangelos yesterday, discussing with citizens the problems that concern them and the stakes of the May 21 elections.
“The only realistic proposal for governing the country is the New Democracy proposal. It ensures political and economic stability, growth and the reduction of taxes”, emphasized Manos Konsolas who set as one of the central objectives of the new four-year period the support of the family with specific measures, such as:
1. Increase by 50,000 places for infants and toddlers in nurseries to support the working mother.
2. Extending the opening hours of daycare centers until 5.30 in the afternoon.
3. 40,000 childcare places for infants and children through the “Neighborhood babysitters” program.
4. Increase of the maternity allowance for freelancers and farmers from 4 to 9 months at the level of the minimum wage instead of the current 150 euros.
5. Increase of the tax-free limit by 1,000 euros for families with children.
6. 1.8 billion to 137,000 young people under 39 to own their own home with cheap mortgages and affordable regulated rents
7. Construction of 2,500 social housing units and renovation of 4,000 vacant public housing units, which will be given to young people with families.
8. Creation of 150 new Children’s Creative Employment Centers.
9. Expansion of full-day schools.
