One of only two mansions on Park Lane, overlooking Hyde Park and close to Buckingham Palace in Londonin England, is for sale for £42.5 million (the equivalent of almost R$270 million).
According to the news agency Bloombergthis would be the biggest real estate deal ever on the prestigious street and a test of the resilience of the city’s luxury real estate market.

“A magnificent six-bedroom London mansion with palatial French Empire interiors, offering 1,016 m² of luxurious accommodation, including a rare ground floor cinema room and double-height gym and pool floor with 15-metre pool and spa“, shows the advertisement on Wetherell, a real estate agency specializing in properties in the main residential area of Mayfair, London.

The property once served as the London residence of Frederick Hervey, the 3rd Marquess of Bristol, and renowned art dealer Henry Joseph Duveen, co-owner of Duveen Brothers Art Dealership. The names of the current owners were not revealed.

According to the advertisement, the mansion has been completely modernized. It also has five bathrooms, four reception rooms, office, library, passenger lift from pool level to third floor, balconies, garden terrace and planning approval for a new roof garden.
With interiors by renowned architect of private palaces William Henry Romaine-Walker, the property also features entertainment rooms capable of receiving up to 150 guests at the same time.
