Chairman of the National Assembly Mansour Abbas today (Wednesday) addressed the local government conference on the coalition negotiations and attacked the prime minister-designate.

“Netanyahu wants to reduce the share of ultra-Orthodox society, and tells them that we received two billion,” he said in a conversation with Michael Shemesh. “Gafni gave me advice when I entered the government, now I’m turning to the ultra-Orthodox – stand up for yours, and for what you deserve.”

According to him, “Ra’am received NIS 53 billion in the coalition agreements, for long-term plans.” Of which we actually received four billion in 2022.”

Earlier today, the RA chairman said in an interview with Anat Davidov and Gideon Oko on 103fm that he does not rule out joining the government led by Benjamin Netanyahu.

He stated: “I’m not fooled. We will know what the government’s policy is and then we will decide. First of all, I want to hear the Prime Minister and his ministers undertake to fulfill all the commitments towards Arab society.”

Abbas blamed his political opponents, Ahmed Tibi and Ayman Odeh, for the rise of the right-wing to power: “From the point of view of Arab society, the one who brought about the dispersal of the Knesset and the dissolution of the government is the joint list. They need to take stock and pay this price.”

Regarding the possibility that the new government will stop projects planned for the Arab society – he said: “I don’t think they will cancel, but they can make changes, stipulate conditions and put barriers – then the implementation of the plan will not be 100%, not 90% and not even 60%.”
