Kuwait City: A liquor manufacturing plant was found during the inspection conducted by the security personnel in Kuwait. The police arrested four expatriates from here. The inspection was conducted by the Ahmadi Police Department in Fintas.
Inspections conducted by various departments in Kuwait to find expatriates doing illegal activities are still ongoing. This is the second time in a week that the authorities found a liquor manufacturing plant during the inspection. Their method was to produce alcohol locally, add essence and color and then fill it in bottles of foreign brands and sell it.
Apart from the huge collection of liquor, money earned by selling liquor and materials used for making liquor were also seized during the inspection. It also had a small printing press for counterfeiting the labels of leading international liquor brands. Alcohol was delivered to the needy people by pasting the labels prepared in this way. Several liquor bottles with labels of foreign liquor brands were also seized. The authorities have informed that they are taking steps to deport all the four arrested expatriates from Kuwait.
An expatriate who operated a liquor factory in Kuwait was also arrested last week. He was arrested by the Home Ministry officials from Ahmadi Governorate. An Asian man was arrested. He ran a liquor factory in his apartment by refilling locally produced liquor in foreign-made liquor bottles. The arrested expatriate was handed over to the concerned departments for further legal proceedings.
