SEMARANG – Chairman of the PDI Perjuangan DPP Mrs. Empress said, ahead of the 2024 elections, many political elites were trying to split Megawati Soekarnoputri’s relationship with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Puan appealed to PDI Perjuangan cadres not to pay attention to this.
This was said by Puan in her speech at the rally entitled “Consolidating Enthusiasm Towards Legislative and Presidential Elections Ignite One Row One Command Spirit” at Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang City, Friday (24/8/2023) evening.
“Therefore, don’t let the solidity of the party be disturbed by those who only want to divide or contradict the Chairperson Megawati and President Jokowi,” said Puan in front of thousands of PDIP cadres.
The chairman of the DPR invited PDIP cadres to work together to win Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election. Puan asked the PDIP cadres in Central Java to keep guarding their area which is a bull stable.
“Our winning strategy must be led by a party based on mutual cooperation, relying on the party machine, the PDI Perjuangan Party machine. We must work together, no one works individually for himself. We will work and fight together for PDI Perjuangan victory in the elections 2024,” he said.
Puan emphasized that her party was not afraid of the attitude taken by the political elite to divide her party. Because right now he will continue to work on heating up the party’s engine for Ganjar’s victory in the 2024 presidential election. “It’s not a bull if you shrink. It’s not PDI Perjuangan if you’re afraid to fight. Fight for the truth. We are fighters for Indonesia,” he said.
It is known that thousands of volunteers packed the Jatidiri Stadium since the afternoon. As planned, the event was attended by 33,000 people consisting of cadres, regional heads in Central Java from the PDIP, PDIP and PPP candidates, representatives from the Perindo Party, Hanura, PPP.
Previously, Central Java PDIP Treasurer Agustina Wilujeng Pramestuti said that this consolidation activity would present the figure of Bung Karno virtually as a result of technological engineering. This was done as an effort to remember Bung Karno’s revolutionary struggle.
“As a recent introduction process (presenting Bung Karno), it will improve our memory and thoughts,” continued Agustina, who is also a member of the Indonesian Parliament at the Central Java PDIP DPP Office.
Technically, he said, Bung Karno would virtually be present in the midst of the masses who were present and would hand over the baton as a symbol of victory to Puan Maharani who was none other than Bung Karno’s granddaughter. “Later Mbak Puan will summon Ganjar Pranowo to the middle of the field to deliver his political speech,” he continued.
In this activity, a dedication of life will also be read, namely Bung Karno’s speech in 1956 on Pancasila before the United States Congress.
