jpnn.comSEMARANG – Former TNI Commander General (ret.) Andika Perkasa is a figure put forward by the PDI Perjuangan in the regional head elections or Pilkada of Central Java (Jateng).
Chairman of the PDI Perjuangan DPD, Bambang Wuryanto, said that Andika Perkasa’s name was currently being discussed intensely in the DPP.
“It has been circulating among the DPP that there is a possibility that Mr. Andika Perkasa will be nominated, many have proposed it,” said the man who is familiarly called Pacul, at Panti Marhaen Semarang, Tuesday (23/7) evening.
With many people proposing it, Pacul said that Andika’s chances of getting a recommendation to run in the Central Java gubernatorial election in November are very large.
Pacul said that the Banteng cadres in Central Java would work optimally to win the former Army Chief of Staff (KSAD).
“If it is proposed, of course we will work hard to win Mr. Andika, we will work hard,” said Pacul.
The Chairman of Commission 3 of the Indonesian House of Representatives said that Andika Perkasa was a military general who provided a sense of security and comfort for PDI Perjuangan cadres.
He admitted that he would be happy if the former Commander of the Army Strategic Reserve Command (Pangkostrad) became the number one person in Central Java.
“Yes, of course, if a figure like Mr. Andika is next to a four-star general, a former commander-in-chief, and is also a sympathetic person, we are happy,” he said.(mcr5/jpnn)
