Tourists traveling to resorts in the area of ​​Xanthi, Komotini and o. Thassos, can use the Zlatograd border crossing as an alternative to the Makaza border crossing. For resorts in the region of Alexandropoulis, it is recommended to go through the Kapitan Petko voivoda border crossing.

Only cars and minibuses are allowed to pass through the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad border crossing points.
