Insufficient knowledge

The reason that there is insufficient knowledge about sex and gender differences in common diseases is that most medical studies have been performed mainly on men. However, organs in the female body often become ill differently than in men. But too little is known about that.

Women are therefore wrongly sent home with psychological labels, such as a depression or anxiety disorder, or are prescribed medication too quickly.
