Director Priyadarshan says that the canvas of ‘Bahubali’ and ‘Marakkari’ are the same in terms of size. Bahubali movie is completely fiction. According to Priyadarshan, Marakkar is also portrayed with a sense of reality. The director’s reaction was at a press conference held before the release of the film.

‘There are two main differences between Bahubali and Marakkar. Bahubali is completely fantasy. There is a history in woodcarving. He has been honored by the Indian Navy as INS Kunhali. There may be ambiguities in history. However, it is true that such a hero lived there and that he was originally a naval commander.

The canvas of Bahubali and Marakkar are the same in size. The film is completely fictional and embodies the reality of the woods. There are no boundaries in fantasy. You can do anything. Attempts have been made to maintain a balance in the woodcarver.

‘Marakkar’ was born out of the faith I had in myself during my forty years of film career. As a director, I believed that such a film could be made and bring it to an international standard. Antony and Lalu supported me in that belief, ”said Priyadarshan.
