Reissue of the album “Tenement Symphony” by Marc Almond in a box set enriched with 76 titles.

Coincidence of the calendar. A fortnight before the generous reissue of Soft Cell’s first attempt, its singer Marc Almond is doing a first warm-up tour with the copious reissue of his seventh album, Tenement Symphony. Carried by the tubes The Days of Pearly Spencer and Jacky (testosterone electronic cover of Jacques Brel), this “symphony of the building” produced by the legendary Trevor Horn delivered in 1991 a most faithful portrait of the Marc Almond complex, as comfortable in the clothes of the diva as in those of a cabaret leader or singer of torch songs, these desperate love songs. A commercial success upon its release (at least in the United Kingdom), Tenement Symphony is enriched with five CDs and a DVD, bringing together remixes, unreleased songs, B-sides, live versions, demos, clips. Seventy-six tracks to complete an ambitious album, sometimes flirting with the limits of good taste.
