Marcelo Santos will lead the Banamex IPO

Citibanamex announced changes to its organizational structure as the separation between Banamex and what will be the new Citi Mexico.

The group reported that, as of September 17, Marcelo Santos will take over as director of IPO Strategy and Execution (the IPO) Banamex Initial Public Offering.

From 2021 to date, Marcelo served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Citibanamex where he “played a fundamental role in the separation process, being responsible for all the financial operations of the country and the supervision of relations with local regulators, the local Board of Directors, in addition to promoting the implementation of key strategic initiatives,” the financial institution highlighted.

He also rejoined Patrick Diez de Bonilla to Citibanamex as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 17.

Patricio who leaves the direction of Let’s Share Bank will take over the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Banamex after the separation and will be responsible for developing and overseeing the organization’s short- and long-term financial plan.

Citibanamex commented that both Marcelo and Patricio will work together for the execution of strategies that promote the growth and competitiveness of the organization.
