The text deplores the attacks on places of worship

The resolution “deeply deplores all acts of violence against persons on the basis of their religion or beliefs and acts directed against their places of worship, as well as all attacks on and in places, sites and shrines religions, which are a violation of international law”.

The resolution “calls on all Member States, relevant organizations of the United Nations system, other international and regional organizations and civil society, the private sector and faith-based organizations, to organize and support various high-visibility events aimed at increasing effectively raising awareness at all levels on the fight against Islamophobia”.
