A beautiful intention that has become, over the years, a tradition at MAP that continues to value its feminine capital. Indeed, the Agency aims through this day to pay a most heartfelt tribute to its courageous and valiant ladies and to express its heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude and recognition for their daily efforts as well as their sense of professionalism, insight, self-denial and self-denial.
Several topics are thus on the agenda of the meeting of the editorial team conjugated to the feminine. Chaired by the directors of information and media, respectively Lamya Dakka and Fatima Zahra Errajy, the editorial committee was composed, on this occasion, of eleven editors-in-chief.
The position of editor-in-chief of Nation is entrusted to Meriem Rkiouak, while the positions of international, regional and multilingual editor-in-chief are assigned respectively to Karima Hajji, Soumia Arkoubi and Safae Aghoutane.
The chief editor of economics and finance is Salma Badaoui, while Rabiâ Salhane is in charge of the sports editorial team.
Khadija Sabih holds the position of editor-in-chief of photography and computer graphics and her colleague Hind Sadki is in charge of the publication editorial team, while Hiba Es-sbih is the editor-in-chief of MAP-Intelligence.
The editors-in-chief of Documentation and Digital Production are respectively Asmae Houri and Loubna Sbiti.
At the Media Directorate level, the MAP audio (RIM Radio) editor-in-chief is entrusted to Jihane Mourchid, while Sanae Benhammou takes over the helm of the MAP TV (M24) editor-in-chief. Meryem Oulad Belmoudden holds the position of editor-in-chief of Archives and Animation.
The strength of this institution is that the female editorial staff plays, alongside their male counterparts, an essential role in the development and influence of MAP both nationally and internationally.
This day is also intended to be a good opportunity to shed light on the achievements and expectations of women and to demonstrate the enhancement of female potential within the Agency, while saluting their professional abilities and their human qualities.
The celebration of March 8 is part of the new vision advocated by the MAP based on modernization, strengthening of governance and openness, as well as efforts made to encourage women to access positions of responsibility and decision-making in central services, as well as in its regional and international offices, but also at the administrative level.
Convinced of the importance of consecrating the gender approach in its development strategy, MAP currently has 193 conscientious, meticulous and very creative women in its ranks, or 37.4% of its entire workforce, with a rate of access to positions of responsibility of 36%.
For its part, the MAP Parity Committee, concerned about the well-being of its staff, particularly women, has launched “SOS écoute”, a special issue dedicated to collecting the words of its staff, women and men, who are going through a difficult period at some point in their professional or personal life, the aim being to improve the professional environment.
In an effort to always be in tune with the perpetual changes that the world is experiencing, MAP continues to work to support its female capital with a view to strengthening its leadership and thus dedicating the culture of parity, through a hiring policy based on equal opportunities between the sexes and which ensures that women journalists are offered an opportune career plan with many very promising future prospects.
