Given the situation, Mexican Seismic Alert System (Sasmex) indicated that because “the energy radiated by the earthquake during the first seconds did not exceed the activation levels” the alerts were not activated.

For his part, the Government of Oaxacathrough the State Coordination of Civil Protection of the entity, activated the protocols to monitor the border zone between the regions of Central Valleys y Southern Sierra.
“The earthquake was noticeable in most of the state with a mild to moderate intensity. Immediately, the Regional Delegations of the CEPCyGR began their monitoring in the eight regions, to verify possible damages, which so far have not occurred,” the agency added on its social networks.
