Marco Antonio Del Prete the Thirdactual titular of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (SEDESU) in Querétarohas been unanimously re-elected as president of the Mexican Association of Secretaries of Economic Development (AMSDE) for the period 2024-2026.
This decision was made during the organization’s third assembly, where confidence in its leadership to direct AMSDE’s efforts in the coming years was expressed.
In accepting his re-election, Del Prete expressed his gratitude for the support received, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the secretaries of economic development to achieve the common objectives of the association.

He pointed out that, although the initial commitment of the secretaries is with their respective states and governors, participation in the AMSDE implies assuming an additional responsibility with the associates, their allies and the work team. “Being president entails the commitment to represent all of you, which makes me deeply proud,” said Del Prete.
During his previous administration, Del Prete has promoted significant advances in key areas such as finance, legal and project development. One of the achievements mentioned was the signing of 12 collaboration agreements that have strengthened the active participation of AMSDE with various economic sectors, both nationally and internationally. These agreements are part of a strategy aimed at linking the federal entities with clients and suppliers, in order to consolidate regional economic growth.
During the meeting, a space was provided to reflect on the economic future of the states. In this framework, a working meeting was held with Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón, who is expected to be the next Secretary of Economy. In this meeting, specific productive projects of each state were discussed and possible areas of collaboration with the federal government were analyzed to promote regional economic development.

Del Prete stressed the importance of these alliances for the success of AMSDE, emphasizing that “joint work with key players in the economic sector, both nationally and internationally, is essential to meet the development goals we have set ourselves.” His re-election ensures the continuity of a strategy that prioritizes the strengthening of the internal market and the integration of states into the global economy.
This new period at the helm of AMSDE promises to consolidate the progress achieved so far, while exploring new opportunities for collaboration and addressing the economic challenges facing the country’s various regions. The expectation is that, under his leadership, the association will continue to play an essential role in Mexico’s economic development.
