A Citroen Xsara, with two men and a woman on board, hit him after Nebiolo had stopped, correctly, at the red light. The driver, after insulting him, got out and attacked him. Local police officers arrived on site together with the ambulance. The driver and passengers of that car were therefore immediately identified. The carabinieri, however, are still hearing witnesses to reconstruct roles and responsibilities in the attack: there was a 36-year-old security guard behind the wheel, but it would not have been him who threw the punch, but one of the other two who were in the car.

The victim’s wife, Manuela Mareso47 years old, launches an appeal to find any witnesses: “Whoever saw it, contact us or contact the local police”.

The last time they spoke was 12.53 – says the woman – my husband sent me a message on WhatsApp: “I crashed, they wanted to beat me, but I called the police“. I called him back at 1pm and he never answered me again, so everything happened within a few minutes.”

After a few minutes the woman tries to contact her husband, without success: “I called 112 and asked if they could carry out a search in the city emergency rooms to check if my husband had been transported to any hospital”. “He remembers everything perfectly but not the moment of the attack – his wife continues -. His last image before waking up in hospital is of having locked himself inside the car, he claims that no one could have opened it from the outside and he doesn’t even remember getting out.”

The man is at the CTO. In her husband’s backpack the woman found a local police report inviting him to report to the command with the hospital report once discharged. But Nebiolo is still on a guarded prognosis. After receiving the blow from the attacker he hit his head on the ground, at least this is the reconstruction of the San Salvario police. The wife wants to know how exactly things went: “Whoever knows, please speak.”
