Today, Margot Robbie (34) is a well-known actress, having achieved great success with films like “Barbie” and “Suicide Squad”.
But the film that made her a global star overnight was “Wolf of Wallstreet,” which was released in 2013. There, she played the wife of Leonardo DiCaprio’s character Jordan Belfort.
Igniting the rumors
Now she reveals that the well-known nude scene, where Robbie is seen completely naked from the front, was her own idea, writes Deadline.
According to the 34-year-old, the film’s director Martin Scorsese (82) suggested that she could wear a bathrobe, which she politely declined.
– It wasn’t what she (Robbie’s character, ed. note) would do in that scene. The whole point was that she was supposed to come out completely naked – that was the card she was playing, she explains in the podcast “Talking pictures”.

Robbie also talks about the stunt that landed her the role in the film. She was originally supposed to kiss DiCaprio during the audition but ended up slapping him instead.
– I thought: “I can kiss Leonardo DiCaprio now, and that would be really cool. I can hardly wait to tell all my friends.” But then I thought, “no.” So I just slapped him across the cheek.

The reaction to her stunt was reportedly complete silence before the entire room burst into laughter.
– Leo and Marty laughed so hard and said it was “great.” While I thought that I was going to get arrested for assault. Not only will I never work again, but I could actually end up in prison for this. Why did I have to hit him so hard?, Robbie recounts.
