Maria Bramont-Arias Competes in Paris 2024 Open Water Swimming Final

Paris, ​France – Peruvian ‌swimmer María Alejandra Bramont-Arias competed in the final of the 10-kilometer open‌ water swimming event ⁣at the ‍ Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Thursday. The race⁤ took place in the historic Seine River.

Despite controversy surrounding the water quality, Bramont-Arias became the first Peruvian to qualify for the ‌Olympics in this discipline. She finished 21st out⁢ of 24 athletes with a time of⁤ 2:12:44.7.
