Maria Corina Machado, leader of the Venezuelan opposition, led a mass demonstration against the government of Nicolas Maduro on Saturdayon which occasion he assured that “we continue moving forward until the end.”
“Today we are stronger than ever“Machado posted on his X account, calling on Venezuelans to demonstrate “in all cities.”
Speaking at the event held in Caracas, the opposition member stated that “We do not promote violence, and going out to protest civilly and peacefully is not violence.“We will not give up our right to civic protest.”

National Electoral Council confirms Maduro’s victory
The demonstration led by the opposition leader took place a day after the Venezuela’s National Electoral Council (CNE) once again declared Nicolás Maduro the winner of the electionwith 96.87% counted.
According to the CNE, The current president received 51.95% of the votes, compared to 43.18% for the opposition candidate Edmundo González Urrutia.
In parallel to the large demonstrations of the Venezuelan opposition in the main cities of the country, Chavismo organized its own events to celebrate the reelection of Nicolás Maduro.
