Main opposition leader Maria Corina Machado stated that according to the minutes, Edmundo Gonzalez has been declared the winner of the presidential election, contradicting Nicolás Maduro’s proclamation.
Machado declared, “We now have a way to prove the truth of what happened in Venezuela.” He told reporters.
Machado explained that the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) collected and digitally scanned the voting records, which will be published online soon.
She emphasized, “The world is already seeing the evidence of Venezuela’s victory. Global leaders are consulting this website.”
Machado expressed pride in Venezuela’s triumph, stating, “On July 28, 2024, we overwhelmingly defeated the regime in a historic civic exercise. We won and everyone knows it. Venezuela has a new president-elect and it is Edmundo Gonzalez.”
