The accident happened when Oliván was preparing to work. She had a fireplace that uses ethanol and, as she described, “ended up setting fire: he grabbed a flare in my body.”
Immediately, Oliván was quick-thinking and took action. “Valentina Bonadeo works on the production of the work (Mamis catharsis, which is yet to be released) and ended up saving my life because he instantly told me: ‘Take out clothes’. Then I took the garments that were on and as I could climb to the first floor and threw down a cold water shower. They took me in the ambulance to the dearest German hospital, which is where I had my son and it was the place where they accompanied me in my fertilization,” she said.
Undergoing Treatment
Oliván also gave an update on her medical treatments. “They put me in intermediate therapy and on Saturday I had the first intervention, which consists of getting the blisters. I was remembering so much from Jorge Lanata, for all the times he will have had to leave an anesthesia, that space that you do not know if it is day or night. I also have the mouth asleep because I also burned my chin, but dodged in the rest of my face thanks to God. I burned my hair a little. And I have burns in various parts of the leg and arm … ,” she explained.
She expressed her determination, stating, “It is another test of falling and getting up, a resilience test that I was practicing all these years, again put into play with my body. I was explaining to Antonio that I had to put on ointments for burns. I thought about him all the time, but not with fear, because I know that I raised a brave son and capable of facing stress situations.”
Oliván appreciated the support she has received. “I appreciate the love received by so many people. Obviously I will get ahead and we will break it in the theater. It is one more test in life, it could have been much worse. In those moments of shock, if you don’t know what to do fast, it can be terrible. It is horrible because it hit your clothes, so be careful with domestic accidents,” she said.
