The ‘influencer’ visited ‘My house is yours’ and chatted with Bertín Osborne about her job, her partners and the difficult moment when she found out that she had multiple sclerosis
The folksiness of Bertín Osborne is legendary. When he is visited by one of the best-known ‘influencers’, who has more than two million followers on Instagram and has even appeared on the cover of Forbes magazine, the presenter asks him about his job. “It’s a new way of advertising,” María Pombo explained to a bewildered Bertín that he did not quite understand or so he pretended. “I started because I was passionate about taking photos and getting ‘looks’,” recalled the young woman who managed to get brands to notice her, thus turning her hobby into work. The curious thing is that the advertising theme was precisely her cross in the studios. «I did Tourism, but I failed Marketing. Very strong!” she commented.
“You could be a good ‘influencer'”, Pombo warned his host, who has half a million followers, but has not just connected with that world. “I must be losing a lot of money,” Bertin joked. The thing of publishing every day did not convince the singer. “What if one day you don’t feel like being nice?” He questioned. “It’s a job, you put on a good face and you do it,” she instructed.
Pombo’s partner, Pablo Castellano, did not want to miss the television appointment. «We met at a tennis master and we fell fatally. I was still with a boyfriend and he had a girlfriend, ”revealed the illustrious blogger who at that time shared life with the footballer Álvaro Morata. The athlete changed clubs and went to Italy, and the distance cooled love. «I had a very bad time. I went on vacation to Santander with my family and Pablo called me who was coming there for two days with a friend. We started talking and I realized that he appreciated things about me that no one had ever appreciated before. My other boyfriends were the important ones and he gave the importance to me », she reflected.
“It was going around that Pablo was gay,” commented María, who fell in love with the young man, but did not take the step because she thought he was homosexual. One day, in one of her conversations, he mentioned an ex-girlfriend and that changed everything. The suitor proposed and she did not make it easy for him. “I’m still in love with my ex and I know he’s going to come back to me,” she replied. So it was. Morata called and she returned to Italy, “but I already had Pablo in my head,” she confessed. So she left the striker and ended up marrying Castellano.
“When I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, I went fifteen days without appearing on social networks. She was in shock », Pombo affirmed that she suffers from a disease with which she is familiar because her mother also suffers from it. “I found out that she was pregnant before the outbreak occurred and I came to think that my baby was not going to survive,” the young woman discovered before a shocked Bertín. «I didn’t know if I wanted to tell it or not, but in the end I thought it was better to give the information. I made a video and explained everything. She was scared, she didn’t want to see the reactions. Then I saw that they were messages of encouragement, it was the best thing that social networks have given me, the support they gave me », she acknowledged.
