This equipment will allow operating urinary calculi at the level of the ureter and kidney.
The second level health care home previously did not perform this type of surgical intervention; however, now you will be able to have a greater number of beneficiaries thanks to these implementations.
The state-of-the-art equipment will strengthen the urology area and will benefit patients who require minimally invasive urological surgical procedures; such as: fragmentation of ureteral kidney stones, diagnoses of urothelium tumors, biopsies of masses in the pelvis, among others.
With this new technological equipment, it is planned to carry out 10 operations per month on a scheduled basis. And because they are minimally invasive procedures, patients will have a postoperative period and a recovery for a short period of time.
The urology service has two specialists in the field. Provides around 120 visits per month between outpatient and emergency, Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 20:30.
