Grandson Allegedly Calls Maribel Guardia “Bad and Cruel” in Leaked Audio

A recently surfaced audio recording has ignited a family dispute involving actress Maribel Guardia and the young son of the late Julián Figueroa. The recording, presented on the Mexican program Venga la Alegría on November 11, reportedly captures a conversation between Imelda Tuñón, Figueroa’s widow, and her son, where the child expresses a strong aversion to his grandmother.

Claims of a Strained Relationship

According to reports, the audio features the child responding to a question from Tuñón about seeing his grandmother, known affectionately as “Mimi.” “No… that woman is horrible… she is bad and cruel,” the child allegedly stated. Tuñón is then heard attempting to soothe her son, urging him to reconsider his harsh words and suggesting he may feel differently as he grows older. “Calm down, my love, calm down… Don’t ever say that… When you grow up you can decide if you want to or not… Don’t say it like that because in the end she has a heart,” she reportedly said. The child’s response, however, remained resolute: “I don’t think so… I don’t think I have.”

Allegations of Manipulation

Tuñón has publicly voiced concerns about the influence Guardia may be having on her son. She stated that “things have happened from audios that she has sent me that I can’t tell you, but things are already noticeable in the child.” When directly asked if she believed manipulation was occurring, Tuñón responded unequivocally: “Yes, totally.”

No Visitation Agreement in Place

As of November 11, Tuñón clarified that there has been no reconciliation between her son and Guardia. “He told me that he is not willing to see her,” she stated. Furthermore, she confirmed that there is currently no legal agreement for visitation between the two, leaving the situation unresolved.

Tuñón acknowledged the emotional toll the situation is taking, stating, “Hearts take time to heal, But I trust that God will help us resolve everything in the best way for both parties.” The case highlights the complexities of family dynamics and the challenges of navigating grief and relationships following a significant loss, particularly when a child is involved.
