It was while taking an interest in the fate of the survivors of the massacres, asylum seekers in France, that the documentary filmmaker Camille Ponsin met Marie-José Tubiana. The former CNRS researcher comes to the aid of rejected asylum seekers, because only she can authenticate their testimonies before the Ofpra, the French Office for Refugees. It is a war which does not make the headlines in the world, and yet which is decimating populations in Sudan: that of Darfur. The United Nations estimates that in twenty years this conflict has left 300,000 dead and 2.5 million displaced.
