And to specify that she was referring to the geopolitical measures taken by the government, such as the abolition of the use of Russian gas and oil, “which means that we buy oil from India, which itself bought the oil to the Russians. “In this area, the sanctions have been completely ineffective. Sanctions have enriched Russia, and above all they punish the French more than they punish Russia,” noted Marine Le Pen.

The same day, the French Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire warned of the “absolutely major impact” that the energy crisis could have on the lives of French people and on businesses. The Bercy tenant mentioned in particular the risk of energy shortage next winter when several nuclear reactors are shut down and France no longer receives Russian gas.

As early as Saturday, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced during a meeting with the press that in terms of supply, “we can have tensions over gas this winter”.
