The candidate for the legislative elections in Pas-de-Calais was targeted by a projectile – “it was an egg, I’m 100% sure”, says a witness to the scene – in the middle of the town of Saint-Amand-les – Waters (North), this Friday afternoon. The former president of the RN was visiting there to inaugurate the electoral permanence of Guillaume Florquin (candidate in the 20th district of the department), reports La Voix du Nord.
A video that Le Parisien obtained by the witness in question shows the candidate walking in the northern commune. The layout of the premises and the shops nearby make it possible to locate the scene on rue Thiers, near the town center and the campaign office of Guillaume Florquin.

We see Marine Le Pen targeted by a projectile (an egg jet, according to several witnesses). She bends down, then she is protected by her security guards. Impossible to know, at this time, where the shot came from.
A cashier from the Zeeman textile shop, located just opposite, tells us that cries such as “Fuck your mother, Marine” were chanted at the same time. “Several security men rushed around her, but it was quickly settled and she continued on her way,” she says.
Deputy Sébastien Chenu, who accompanied the candidate on the spot, speaks of the gesture of a “marginal” who “tried to send her an egg”. “She didn’t have a bang,” he assures us, specifying that Marine Le Pen “held her meeting in front of 80 people from Saint-Amand without any problem (including at the exit)”. Joshua Hochart, deputy departmental delegate of the RN in the North, indicates that “the individual has apparently been arrested by the police services”.
