Elements of the Marina They shot at municipal police officers in Guasave; They were mistaken for criminals.
This event occurred in the early hours of this morning. August 13th when elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security from Guasave were responding to a report in the commune of Four Paths.
According to local media, municipal agents were at a home responding to a report. The officers arrived in a municipal patrol car which had the distinctive markings that characterize it.

Alleged elements of the police also arrived at the site. Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) who arrived in the corporation’s vehicles.
The marines opened fire against the municipal patrol of Guasave, this because the officers apparently confused the police with alleged criminals.
The two uniformed officers of the Guasave police covered themselves from the bullets in the unit 3695 and only for that reason were they able to emerge unscathed from the attack.
The patrol car was left with damage to the windows on the driver’s side and bullet holes.
What is unknown is the reason why the alleged marines opened fire despite observing the patrol with orange traffic cones, a turret and the signs that distinguish it as an official vehicle. It is worth mentioning that it has the State Police labelingbut it belongs to the municipality of Guasave, according to the mayor himself.
After the officers fired shots at the municipal police, the alleged Semar elements left the scene and no medical assistance was required for the officers.

At the time of writing, neither of the two corporations had made any statement on the matter and it is unknown whether the Guasave City Council will file a complaint.
The mayor of Guasave, Martin of Jesus Ahumada Quinteroasked the Navy for an explanation for opening fire on the patrol, although he noted that it could be a confusion.
He added that 10 alleged Semar units were present at the time of the shooting.
