Scholarships and rehabilitation of campuses announced by Mario Delgado
The head of the SEP reported on the increases for 2025 that will have the delivery of scholarships and rehabilitation of schools in the states of Nayarit and Jalisco.
Nayarit
For the state of Nayarit, the amount of scholarships will double and reach 1,95 million pesos “because each and every child, high school teenager, will have their “Rita Cetina” scholarship, more than 97,500 teenagers from secondary school and also from primary school, are going to have that scholarship,” he declared.
In addition, more than 40 thousand young people in Higher Secondary Education will be entitled to the Benito Juárez scholarship, which was established by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and in 2025 there will be 387 million pesos for the maintenance of 1,147 schools through the The School is Ours Program (LEN) throughout the state of Nayarit.
“And for the first time La Escuela es Nuestra, because that is what the President ordered, it will enter the high schools, the Upper Secondary Education, 218 Upper Secondary Education schools will have access to The School is Ours to begin arranging the workshops , the classrooms and that young people want to stay in high schools,” he added.
Jalisco
For Jalisco, Mario Delgado pointed out that the amount for the scholarships will be doubled and will amount to 5.24 million pesos, so that more than half a million girls, boys and adolescents receive the “Rita Cetina” scholarship.
With this increase, 240 thousand high school students will receive the Benito Juárez scholarship, while 12 thousand students will obtain the scholarship for Higher Education.

“In addition to the fact that 770 million pesos are going to be invested in Jalisco to repair 2,300 schools and 113 Higher Secondary Education establishments, that is the importance of education for our President,” said the head of the SEP.
In addition to this, he highlighted that school campuses must become a space for health promotion and addiction prevention, which is why he recalled that starting in March they will remove all junk food from schools so that children can enjoy of healthy eating.
“Soon the federal president will announce a campaign for the prevention of addictions in which each and every one of us must participate to protect our children and our young people from drugs,” she also announced.
