The size of the Russian office software market by 2027 may reach 85.2 billion rubles, while the share of domestic developers will increase from the current 12% to 82%, according to a study by J’son & Partners Consulting. Vedomosti got acquainted with the results of the study, its authenticity was confirmed by the deputy general director of J’son & Partners Consulting Evgeny Pligin. According to the company’s analysts, macroeconomic factors, demand dynamics in 2022, government regulation and the development of players are leading to a fundamental change in the structure of the office software market over the next 3–5 years, including a sharp increase in the share of Russian developers.
According to the forecast that J’son & Partners Consulting made in 2021, the share of Russian office software (P7 and My Office) could grow from 7% in 2020 to 40% in 2026, free software (LibreOffice and OpenOffice) – from 15.5 to 30%, and the share of foreign software (Microsoft Office, Hancom Office, WPS Office, etc.) over the same period should have decreased from 77.5 to 30%.
