EDITORIAL – The list of high-ranking ministers and Macronians indicted is so long that it could be made into an encyclopedia. A single editorial would not be enough! Let’s focus only on the one who is making the news right now: Marlène Schiappa. The parliamentary commission of inquiry has just submitted its report in the case of embezzlement of money and petty arrangements between friends operated on the Marianne Fund. What a slap! The report is final: Marlène Schiappa is wet up to her neck. A clearly demonstrated role and responsibility that goes well beyond the lack of stupidity and incompetence that she clumsily expressed. before the Senate Finance Committee. A very badly played comedy of which the senators were by no means fooled. We neither.
In the act that she is, Marlène Schiappa should have resigned or been forced to resign. But no. In Macron’s France, some ministers can afford anything. While others don’t. François Bayrou, Emmanuel Macron’s original Minister of Justice, was automatically resigned after the announcement of his indictment, for acts that he, unlike Dupond-Moretti, committed elsewhere than in the exercise of its functions. And the same François de Rugy, for a simple suspicion of having put it in his stomach for a little too much… Yes, the bill was difficult to swallow, as much for him as for the voters, for whom the lobster and champagne are the realm of proletarian culinary fantasy. She who was able to completely disguise the unfolding of the facts relating to the Marianne Fund, this is how she would certainly make an act of redemption!
And that would be so much more respectful of the normal functioning of democracy and so much less tartuffe. I say “tartuffe” because, if Marlène Schiappa finally resigns in the next few days, it will mean that she is in fact less “protected” than evil spirits might believe. Unless of course, the height of state ridicule, she was then put away in a gilded closet, highly paid. Conversely, therefore, if she does not leave her ministry, the play eternally on display “Macron and his puppets” will start his tour again. And long live France!
