jpnn.com – ARAGON – Marc Marquez started the 2024 Aragon MotoGP weekend by dominating free practice 1 at the MotorLand Circuit, Friday (30/8) afternoon WIB.

The Gresini Ducati rider recorded his best time, one minute 48.289 seconds on the 12th of 13 laps.

That time put him 0.483 seconds ahead of Jorge Martin.

Meanwhile, championship leader Francesco Bagnaia and his main Ducati teammate Enea Bastianini were among the riders who struggled to adapt to the slippery track.

Crash reported Bastianini shaking his head as he repeatedly ran wide at the first corner.

Bastianini could only manage a best time of 9th. That was much better than Pecco Bagnaia who was outside the Top 10; 21st.

The MotorLand Aragon circuit, which last hosted MotoGP in 2022, has been completely resurfaced.

Sodue to the lack of previous MotoGP data for the new surface, Michelin has expanded the rear tyre allocation this weekend from two to three. (crash/jpnn)
