Important points were again collected by both racers after Marc Marquez was able to finish in fourth position, following an incident when starting with another racer which caused him to be thrown to 13th position.
In addition, Alex Marquez finished in 10th position, performing better than his starting position at the start of the race.
Market Development General Manager of PT. EMLI Rommy Averdy Saat said, “Starting the 2024 MotoGP season, both riders continue to show consistency in every appearance, and of course supported by the Gresini Racing mechanic team who are able to maximize the Ducati Desmosedici GP23 to make it more comfortable when used for racing by Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez.
“The best talent can be seen from the performance of the two racers who were able to keep up with the other racers who used factory motorbikes. Of course, the hopes and support from Federal Oil, consumers, and fans in the country continue to flow to Marc and Alex to be able to achieve a double podium in the next series,” said Rommy in his statement, Tuesday (20/8).
On another occasion, Marc Marquez said the Austrian MotoGP was probably the best weekend in the development of the season so far.
“Great Friday, great qualifying and two ‘easy’ podiums that were close. Unfortunately it didn’t work out, Saturday because of a crash and this Sunday because of too many small problems, especially at the beginning,” he said.
“However, we leave Spielberg in good spirits, hoping that luck will be on our side to be more competitive.”
