Marrakech: Nouamane Lahlou rewards the public of the 53rd edition of FNAP with an anthology of his most beautiful songs

Honoring the artist, lyricist, composer and singer Nouamane Lahlou, this colorful musical event is part of the tradition of the “Nuit des Etoiles”, during which each edition of the Festival celebrates an icon of Moroccan and Arabic song, as was the case previously with the late Abdou Cherif or the Tunisian artist Lotfi Bouchnak.

This captivating evening, which attracted a large crowd, filling the vast spaces of the Palais des Congrès with a festive and friendly atmosphere, was marked by the presence of personalities from various creative backgrounds, notably the poet of the songs “Bladi Ya Zine Al Bouldane” and “Marrakech Ya Bahjat Lyam”, Mohammed Skalli, the singer Fouad Zbadi, the maestro Ahmed Cherkani, the actor Hassan Foulan, as well as figures from the associative, media and scientific circles.

Opening the ball of this enchanting show, Nouamane Lahlou began with the masterful interpretation of “Bladi Ya Zine Al Bouldane”, an emblematic song which celebrates the legendary hospitality of Morocco and highlights the beauty and splendor of its majestic mountains, its shores, as well as the generosity and hospitality of its welcoming people.

Under the leadership of maestro Mounir Hamala, the orchestra brilliantly accompanied the native singer of Fez in a masterful interpretation of the songs “Ouezzane”, which praises the spiritual and historical significance of this emblematic city, and “Laghzala Zagora”, highlighting light the beauty of the peaceful mornings of the city of Zagora and the majestic brilliance of its oases and its brilliant sun.

Subsequently, the public was won over by the song “Tafilalet”, where Nouamane Lahlou illustrates the secularity of the region and the authentic values ​​of its inhabitants, such as harmony, love and peace.

The song “Marrakech Ya Bahjat Lyam” also seduced the spectators, celebrating the natural riches of the Ocher City and its surroundings, as well as the constant joy that fills its inhabitants and visitors.

In addition, Nouamane Lahlou did not miss the opportunity to evoke the enchanting aura of the city of Tangier through the song “Ay Sir Fik ya Tanja”, which highlights the mystical beauty of the Pearl of the North and the stories of those who were captivated by its charm and beauty, while highlighting its ability to unite cultures and transcend borders.

Accompanied by the dynamic rhythms of Reggada and the sounds of the oriental flute “Qasba”, the honored artist performed “Mlih Mlih”, a work which invites us to celebrate the authenticity and infinite charm of the capital of the Oriental, Oujda.

Likewise, the audience was treated to a rendition of the song “Ya Chefchaouen Ya Nouwara”, which is an ode to the pioneering roles of the great figures of the blue city, such as Moulay Ali Ben Rachid and Sayyida Al Horra.

This concert was also punctuated by the presentation of a Memorial Trophy to the artist honored by the Festival, in recognition of his artistic contributions closely linked to societal and humanitarian issues.

In a statement to MAP on this occasion, the director of FNAP and president of the Grand Atlas Association, Mohamed Knidri, was delighted with this eclectic evening which put the spotlight on one of the emblematic figures of music Moroccan music having greatly enriched the repertoire of committed song.

“The Oud offered to Nouamane is an expression of the particular importance that this instrument has for the awarded artist, as well as its place in Arab and Islamic civilization,” he added.
