Initiated as part of a “press weekend”, this exceptional visit allowed representatives of various media outlets to discover this exceptional place, which constitutes a haven of tranquility and beauty, in perfect harmony with the spirit of the famous Majorelle Garden.

Built in the 1920s by the orientalist painter Jacques Majorelle, the Villa Oasis, which embodies a refined example of oriental architecture mixed with modern influences, is surrounded by a lush garden which is a true haven of peace, offering a striking contrast with the tumult of the city.

Villa Oasis stands out for its understated elegance and refined architectural details, while its façade, decorated with mosaics and colorful earthenware, is a tribute to Moroccan artisanal traditions.

Inside, the rooms are decorated with noble materials, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere, while the large terraces allow you to enjoy a breathtaking view of the garden, creating an ideal space for relaxation.

The garden of Villa Oasis, a true botanical gem, which extends over one hectare, is distinguished by its impressive plant diversity. It features majestic palm trees and verdant bamboo, as well as exotic flowers that add vibrant splashes of color.

The winding paths invite you to stroll, while the pools and fountains create a serene and refreshing atmosphere, reflecting Jacques Majorelle’s exquisite taste for nature and design.

On this occasion, Alexis Sornin, director of the Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech Museum, noted that the Villa Oasis and its garden represent the very essence of refinement and serenity, which marked the work of Jacques Majorelle.

“By celebrating this anniversary, we have the opportunity to rediscover and promote this exceptional place which has preserved its timeless charm over the decades,” he stressed.

He also highlighted the importance of the Villa Oasis in the context of the Majorelle Garden, noting that the garden of this Villa, like the Majorelle Garden, is a testimony to the harmony between art, nature and architecture.

“These two places remind us of the importance of preserving our heritage while inspiring us for the future,” he said.

It should be remembered that as part of the “press weekend”, a guided tour of the two exhibitions: “Jardin Majorelle: Who are we?” and “Yves Saint Laurent and the comic strip: La Vilaine Lulu”, was organized on Friday for the benefit of the media, on the occasion of the centenary of this magical garden.

Since its opening, Jardin Majorelle has been one of the most visited sites in Morocco. Every year, more than 1,400,000 visitors enjoy a unique experience in its memorable garden and its two emblematic museums: the Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum Marrakech.
