A new victim by bullets in Marseille. Tuesday, around 9 p.m., a 14-year-old teenager was seriously injured by bullets in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), according to information from BFM TV confirmed by Provence. The facts took place in the city of Cayolle, located south of the Marseille city.

The young man was hit in the stomach. The shots took place near a deal point, reports La Provence. The teenager was urgently transferred to the hospital and his vital prognosis is engaged. He was conscious when help arrived, AFP said. The shooter(s) fled and have not yet been arrested. Casings were found at the scene of the shooting.

According to information from La Provence, the teenager would “not have a trafficker’s profile”. However, his presence at a deal point in the city of Marseille could rule out the trail of the collateral victim.

A deadly settling of accounts in the same city a few days ago

The facts come only a few days after a 25-year-old man lost his life in a settling of scores in this same city in the southern districts of Marseille. He was shot dead around 10:30 p.m. on August 14.

On the night of Monday to Tuesday, Fayed, a 10-year-old child, was the collateral victim of yet another settling of accounts in Nîmes (Gard). Aboard his uncle’s car, the little boy found himself in the middle of a shooting in the Pissevin district, a drug hub in the South. After being shot three times in the back, Fayed lost his life. The vital prognosis of his uncle is still engaged.

CRS 8, a law enforcement unit specializing in urban violence, was deployed to Nîmes following this fatal shooting. This same unit was dispatched to Marseille last week following several settling of accounts.
