Marseille achieved a comeback, as a visitor, against Toulouse, won 3 to 2 and remained five points behind the leader, on date 24.
Igor Tudor’s side had no margin for error and responded with a sealed second-half win. Toulouse took the lead at the start, with a goal from the Dutchman Thijs Dallinga. Marseille did not find the prize for their reaction until after the break, but in seven minutes they turned the situation around. They tied in minute 52 thanks to Congolese Chancel Mbemba and in minute 59, Turkish Cengiz Under put the visitors ahead who sealed their victory in minute 79 thanks to Portuguese Nuno Tavares.
Toulouse returned the tension in the final stretch when the Japanese Ado Onaiwu scored the second goal for his team that established the final result. Marseille regained second place in Ligue 1 provisionally taken from them by Monaco to continue five points behind PSG’s lead.
