jpnn.comJAKARTA – Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hjobjerg will play for Olympique Marseille.

The Danish player was brought in by Marseille on loan.

The announcement was made by Olympique Marseille early Monday WIB.

“Olympique de Marseille are delighted to announce the signing of Pierre-Emile Hjobjerg from Tottenham Hotspur FC. The 28-year-old midfielder joins on loan with an option to buy following a medical,” the club said in a statement on its official website.

Hjobjerg has made 81 appearances for Denmark and featured in all four of his country’s matches at Euro 2024.

In that event, they were eliminated by the host Germany in the last 16 phase.

The 28-year-old began his professional career at German giants Bayern Munich before moving to England when he joined Southampton in 2016.

After four years with the south coast club, Hjobjerg moved to Tottenham in August 2020 and made 184 appearances for Spurs.
