No metro runs in Marseilles anymore. The service of the two lines in the city is completely interrupted this Tuesday evening, and should not resume until Wednesday morning at the earliest, announces the Régie des transports métropolitains (RTM) of Marseille on its site.

“We’re a little jaded,” says Chloé, a shopkeeper who had to change her usual plans to return home after a long day of work at the other end of Marseille. This Tuesday, around 8 p.m., the 30-year-old had to take a bus and then two different trams to get to her home. “A little bonus sprint to catch the second,” she jokes, a little disenchanted with the transport in her city. If such blocking of the metros is unusual, “we are used to bus problems, not to mention the evenings of matches where it is a hassle! »

This time, this interruption is due to a “technical incident”, linked to a concern for “traction” of the oars, explained the manager – who “hopes” a return to normal Wednesday morning – with La Provence.

Interrupted shortly after 3 p.m. this afternoon, traffic was to resume initially at 5:30 p.m., before being postponed to 6 p.m., then in the evening. While waiting for traffic to resume, the tram network has been “reinforced”, indicates the RTM website, which specifies that the bus network “operates normally” and that a “relay bus” service has been set up. .
