jpnn.comJAKARTA – Comedian Marshel Widianto revealed that his wife, Cesen, former JKT48, was worried when she found out that he was a candidate for Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang.
Moreover, it was a new thing for the 28-year-old comedian. Even so, Marshel finally got support from his wife.
“Yes, I was worried because this is a new pool and you could say it’s something new for me. She was afraid that I would do things that could make me more stressed and so on. But in the end my wife supported me,” said Marshel Widianto in the Mampang Prapatan area, South Jakarta, Monday (8/7).
The father of two then revealed how he convinced his wife.
“That’s really a family matter, but what I can tell you is I told you, ‘this is what I’m going to do, honey, this is what I’m going to organize, this is what I’m going to change from my other mistakes’, and finally my wife believed and supported me,” he said.
Meanwhile, he admitted that he has long been a wingman in the Gerindra Party. However, the Laundry Show actor chose not to publicize it.
“I have been a member of the Gerindra Party’s wings for a long time, I started in 2018, it’s been a long time, my boss. But I didn’t tell it like I had a child, I told it like I suddenly had a child and that’s what only time will tell,” said Marshel Widianto.
“So, you could say that I have learned a little bit about politics and I am ready to become deputy mayor later even though today I am still a candidate,” he continued.(mcr7/jpnn)
