jpnn.com – MISANO – MotoGP standings leader Jorge Martin challenged Marc Marquez and Enea Bastianini to be faster in practice and qualifying for the Emilia Romagna MotoGP, at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Saturday (21/9).

Martin revealed this after seeing the fact that he and Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia were at different levels during practice on Friday (20/9) evening WIB.

Pecco’s time was the best, Martin second, Marquez third, and Bastianini 4th.

As usual, Ducati bikes dominated. Yamaha, Aprilia, and KTM riders had time to add ‘color’ to Pecco and Martin’s competition in practice.

Martin also hopes he will find other challenges on the track besides Pecco, to fuel his motivation.

“Right now (after practice), Pecco and I are one step ahead. I didn’t expect a situation like this. I wanted more than Enea or Marc on the track,” said Martin.

The racer who will ride for Aprilia next season seemed unconcerned about the incident that befell him at the end of practice.

Martin crashed and failed to break Pecco’s time.

Martin hopes he will find another challenge at the Emilia Romagna MotoGP, apart from dealing with Pecco.
