Complicated Friday for Pecco Bagnaia in Valencia. The current MotoGP world champion has encountered more problems than desired at the close of the Practice session held this afternoon at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, weighed down by a lack of confidence in his front tire which has condemned Pecco to 15th position in the table, forcing him to go through Q1 tomorrow.
The one from Turin explained today in Valencia that “I need time to improve my situation, I am suffering here. NNormally I usually leave the work done at the end of the session, but today we suffered more. We have some ideas for tomorrow about where I can improve, I have reviewed the telemetry and I lose five tenths in three corners. “That’s how things are, but it’s better that this happens to us now so we can solve them quickly, and arrive prepared for the Sprint Race.”
Asked about the specific problems he has suffered on his motorcycle, the Italian details that “he doesn’t have a good feeling with the front axle and I’m losing a lot of time at the entrance to turns 1, 2 and 6. We will try to improve it for tomorrow, we have time to do it,” says a confident Bagnaia.
During the last 10 minutes of practice, Pecco had to endure the relentless marking of Jorge Martín who He has done everything possible to make Turin uncomfortable with the sole objective of complicating his presence in Q2 on Saturday. Bagnaia denies that this strategy made him nervous, and acknowledges that his problems with the front axle were decisive in ending up so far behind.
