A few days before the start of the season in our men’s volleyball, one of the favorites for the title “Neftochimik” and its head coach Martin Stoev surprised by parting by mutual consent.
This happened after the most successful national selector in this century made more than a large-scale selection with the clear goal – to dethrone the champion “Levski”.
Welcomer Axel Truhchev, who was one of the solid factors in winning the title in 2023, returned to the Burgas team.
In addition, Stoev attracted to “Neftokhimik” one of the most successful Bulgarian players in the position of libero – Vladislav Ivanov, the central blocker Krasimir Georgiev, the Slovak center Shimon Krajchovich, Ventsislav Ragin, the French receiver Francois Rebeirol, Rosalin Penchev, the Russian Pavel Moroz, Stiliyan Asenov, Dobromir Dimitrov, Stoyan Dimitrov and Yasen Petrov.
In reality, these are volleyball players for 2 teams. About a month ago, Stoev stated that he should make them a homogeneous composition.
However, this will obviously not happen, and the reason, according to experts, is a serious conflict between the coach and some of the main competitors. Stoev had a fight with them and the climate in the team was definitely not good.
This caused a reaction from the management of Neftohimik. During the talks between the two parties, it was concluded that it was best to have a separation.
