Martin Wernicke has been appearing in “Berlin – Day & Night” since 2011. However, the Basti actor is now closing this chapter for good.
Martin Wernicke has played in various TV shows, but most viewers probably know him as Basti Heuer from the RTLzwei series “Berlin – Tag & Nacht”. He has been part of the cast for 13 years and is considered an absolute audience favorite. Many fans were all the more sad when Wernicke announced his departure.
The amateur actor published a video on Instagram in which several scenes from “Berlin – Day & Night” can be seen – he accompanied the clip with Europe’s hit “The Final Countdown”. “We will see each other again somewhere else. Promise. Martin’s story is far from over,” the 44-year-old announced in the title of the post and added the hashtags “The end” and “Game over”, among others.
In the comments section, he also made it clear that a return was out of the question for him: “I’m not coming back to BTN. But other things are waiting,” the TV star hinted promisingly.
Martin Wernicke’s fans were disappointed that he was leaving the RTLzwei show. “That’s such a shame,” wrote one follower. “You will be missed so much,” read another comment. Another person said: “You were such a great character and actor. I will miss you in your role, which you played so well.” Also read: “Basti as the main lead will be missed.”
