The bookings for the new Grand Vitara, which Maruti Suzuki will launch soon, are booming.
Maruti Suzuki will officially launch the new Grand Vitara by the end of September. Currently the booking process for this car is going on. According to the company, 53,000 bookings have been received for this car so far. It is said that the high-end variant of the Grand Vitara is booked the most. That is, it seems that a maximum of 23 thousand bookings have been accumulated for the selection with strong hybrid feature. Rs. 11 thousand advance bookings are being accepted.
As for the mild hybrid option, a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor is used. The motor is capable of churning out a maximum power of 100 bhp and 135 Nm of torque.

Apart from that, it will be offered with 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox options, the company said. Apart from this, all-wheel drive (AWD) will be offered as an optional extra.

Likewise, the Strong Hybrid option uses a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TNGA petrol motor. The motor is capable of churning out a maximum power of 91 bhp and 122 Nm of torque. Apart from this, it is also equipped with an electric motor that produces 78 bhp of power and 141 Nm of torque. The Grand Vitara SUV with Strong Hybrid is said to deliver a mileage of up to 27.9 kmpl.

In the Indian market, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is expected to compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Octavia, MG Aster and Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider.
