Maruti Suzuki has launched its Desire S-CNG variant in the Indian market.

Maruti Suzuki is starting to focus more on CNG vehicles called Compressed Natural Gas. Maruti Suzuki has recently introduced new models with S-CNG Kit. In that regard, the much-anticipated Desire S-CNG model has been launched in the Indian market.
Unlike other CNG models, the S-CNG kit is offered in the mid-spec VXI and top-end ZXI variants of the new Desire model. The new Maruti Suzuki Desire S-CNG is priced at Rs. 8.14 lakh and Rs. 8.82 lakhs. All prices are quoted on ex-showroom basis.
For the first time, Maruti Suzuki is offering the S-CNG Kit feature to all customers, not just the rental car. It is worth noting that previously this feature was only offered on the Tour S variant.
The new Maruti Suzuki S-CNG model is powered by a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine produces 88.5 bhp. Capacity, 113 Newton meters expressing torque. In CNG mode, the engine produces 76 bhp. And decreases to 98.5 Newton meters. The Desire model with S-CNG is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The new Desire S-CNG model is capable of going up to 31.12 kilometers per liter. In terms of features the new S-CNG model offers the same features as the standard Desire model. The new Maruti Suzuki Desire S-CNG model is also available on a monthly subscription plan. The fee for this is Rs. Starting at 16,999.
