Maruti Suzuki sales up 21%- Dinamani

Maruti Suzuki India’s total sales increased by 21 percent in the last October.

A press release issued by the company said: Last October, the company’s total sales were 1,67,520.

The company had sold a total of 1,38,335 vehicles in the same month last year.

Compared to that, this year’s October sales were up 21 percent.

Total sales of cars during the assessment month stood at 1,47,072 cars, which is 26 per cent higher than the previous year’s 1,17,013 cars.

Total sales of compact cars, which include Alto and S-Presso models, stood at 21,831 in October 2021. It increased to 24,936 in October this year.

Sales of compact cars including Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, Wagon-R have increased from 48,690 in October last year to 73,685 in the same month this year.

The sales of Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, XL-6 utility vehicles last October were 30,971. It was 27,081 in the corresponding month of the previous year.

The sales of Eco cars increased from 8,861 in October 2021 to 10,320 this October.

During the assessment month the company’s exports decreased to 20,448. It was 2,913 in the corresponding month of the previous year, the press release said.
