Cardinals Chase Trade Partners as Harrison Exits

While the Cardinals do not yet have a confirmed trade partner locked in, several franchises have emerged as potential landing spots. The Houston Texans have surfaced as an early front-runner in the pursuit for the receiver, while league circles also view the Las Vegas Raiders as a lurking possibility as Sunday’s games approach. Compensation for the former high draft pick remains fluid. While one report suggested the Cardinals’ initial asking price was a second-round draft pick, a deal centered around draft capital on the second day of the NFL draft appears most likely according to multiple reports. That return would mark a sharp depreciation from the premium capital spent when Harrison was drafted No. 4 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Harrison’s Numbers Drop After Strong Start

Through four games this season, Harrison’s production cratered to just five receptions on 13 targets for 85 yards and a single touchdown. His career totals stand at 108 catches for 1,578 yards and 13 touchdowns across 33 games.

Harrison arrived in Arizona bearing a stellar pedigree following a decorated career at Ohio State defined by a pair of 1,200-yard seasons and unanimous All-American honors. His professional transition, however, immediately encountered turbulence. He finished his rookie season with 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns, but failed to establish a consistent pattern of success.

Underlying changes were already underway. Harrison recently hired a pair of agents, signing with Athletes First.
